Woodrow W. ‘Bill’ Raquepaw Jr.

Died Dec. 25, 2017


Woodrow W. “Bill” Raquepaw Jr., 68, of Mio passed away at his home Monday, Dec. 25, 2017.

Bill was born in Saginaw on Sept. 6, 1949, to Woodrow W. and Irene (Pulley) Raquepaw. He worked in sales in the Owosso area for many years. Bill married Pam on June 30, 1979, in Chesaning. Bill was a volunteer for the Owosso Township Rescue Ambulance for five years. He also was a Little League football coach for 10 years while residing in Owosso. The couple lived in Owosso until settling in Mio in 1997. Bill was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Mio and also the Knights of Columbus. He had enjoyed boating, fishing and traveling.

Bill is survived by his wife, Pamela of Mio; his children, Angela (Keith) Gee of East Jordan, Brent Raquepaw of Bay City and Jennifer (Shawn) Hinson of New Hampshire; his sister, Beverly Raquepaw of Birch Run; brothers, James (June) Raquepaw of Texas and Jerry Raquepaw of Birch Run; his sister-in-law, Kathy Raquepaw, also of Birch Run; his grandchildren, George Alurac, Bentley Raquepaw, Marcus (Ashley) Gee and Chelsea Gee; two special dogs, Marley and Puckett; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Harry and Larry Joe Raquepaw.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to Father Fred of Traverse City, or St. Mary Catholic Church, Mio. These arrangements were handled by Lashley Funeral Home, Mio.
