Summer vacation can’t last forever


Students shuffled their way into the hallways of Mio AuSable Schools Aug. 28 for the first day of the new school year. Primary school students assembled in a gymnasium and were taken to their new classrooms for the year. Secondary students met in the main gymnasium for a pep talk from new principal Dennis Niles. He set expectations for the students academic achievements, as well as laid out some of the new rules they may not have knew changed. The gymnasium burst into cheers and applause as Niles told the school about the more lax cell phone policy which allows teachers to set their own rules for the year.
