Visitors come in droves to annual charity quilt auction

The annual Northern Michigan Relief Sale and Quilt Auction saw heavy attendance this weekend, meaning the competition was stiff during the bidding wars. Some quilts went for as high as $2,000. There were multiple charities that reaped the benefits of the auction, Guatemalan earthquake relief, Rohingya refugee groups and charities that provide infrastructure for water for African countries just to name a few. Craft shows and vendors littered the rest of the surrounding area of the Oscoda County Fairgrounds offering local goods and food.
