New facility gets groundbreaking date

COMINS TWP. — The Comins Township Board of Trustees set a groundbreaking date for a new facility that will house the Fairview Fire Department and potentially the Oscoda County EMS at an April 20 special meeting.

The Board unanimously passed a resolution to approve its contract with Hillman-based Kenyon Construction at the meeting, setting construction for the new facility in motion.

Groundbreaking for the new 7,852 square-foot building will take place April 25 at 3:00 p.m.
