Mary Angie Rushlow, 70, of Mio, formerly of Rose City, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019, following her extremely brave and strong battle with cancer, at her daughter’s home in Mio.

Mary was born in Trenton on Jan. 17, 1949. She graduated from Carlson High School in Rockwood in 1968. She moved to Rose City in 1987 from Monroe and married James Rushlow in June 1990. Mary settled nearer her children in Mio two years ago. She was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Newport and enjoyed crafting, baking and playing Keno at the Mio Saloon.

She is survived by her children, Tina (Jeffrey) Buckner of Monroe, Russell (Heather) Campbell Jr. of Mio and Ruthann (Henry) Blair of Mio; sisters, Charlotte Kaltz, Sylvia (Russell) Emmons and Pam Kern; brother, Larry (Rose) Olinger; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and many dear friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Nellie; stepfather, Charles; her husband, James; sister, Barbara Bisson; and brother, Bill Olinger.

In accordance with Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life gathering will be held at the Mio Saloon, Mio, at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Lashley Funeral Home, Mio.
