Joan Cox, 75, of Luzerne passed away at Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw on Tuesday, July 4, 2017.

Joan was born in Melvin on June 4, 1942, to Samuel and Sarah Marie (Cook) Fields. She married Orville Cox on July 11, 1959, in Port Huron. The family moved to Luzerne in 1975 from Port Huron. Joan worked in a factory in Lewiston for a time. She enjoyed puzzles, bingo and spending time with her grandkids.

Joan is survived by her husband, Orville of Luzerne; her children, Carol Good of Port Huron, Tim (Cheri) Cox of Luzerne and Annette Cox, also of Luzerne; her brothers, Harry (Skip) and Bob (Marion) Fields; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Amber, Stacy, Crystal, Robbie, Danelle, and Timothy; and 20 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Diane and Sandy Cox.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Sammy and Raymond; and two great-grandchildren, Marie and Danica.

Visitation will be Friday, July 7, 2017, from 3-7 p.m. at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, and also Saturday, July 8, from 10 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m., with Pastor Amber Billman officiating. Interment will follow at Luzerne Cemetery, Luzerne.
