James A. Rondeau, 79, formerly of Comins, passed away April 2, 2018.

James was born March 20, 1939, in Alpena to Albert and Waneta (Brand) Rondeau. He married Renee Marle Dec. 7, 2002, in South Lyon. James was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. He owned Curves in Mio. James was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

James is survived by his wife, Renee; children, Jeffrey (Josephine) Rondeau, Christine (Steve) Rutkowski and Cynthia (Dwayne) Ridenour; stepchildren, Susan (Charles) Domen, Danielle (James) Boote, Gordon (Leslie) Bachmura, Alan Bachmura and Isabella (Matt) Mansfield; grandchildren, Jacqueline, Jessica, Alex, Christopher, Daniel, Nathan, Rachel, Caitlin, Allison, Laura, James, Gordon, Sara, Grant, Macy, Alyssa, Anna, Olivia and Travis; four great-grandchildren; and siblings, Janice Hill, Jackie Riley, Doug Rondeau and Ronald Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three siblings; and his first wife, Susann.

James’ family and friends gathered Saturday, April 14, 2018, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Pinckney for a family rosary beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will be May 2 at Mio Cemetery at 1 p.m.
