Harold “Andy” Anderson, 76, of Mio passed away March 19, 2017.

Harold was born in Marlette to Orville and Leota (Smith) Anderson of Brown City on Sept. 26, 1940. Harold grew up in Atlas, where he was sometimes referred to as the “Mayor of

Atlas” because of his historical knowledge of the area. Harold worked as a car-hauler (truck driver) out of the Flint terminal, hauling GM product for nearly 30 years, and moved to Mio in 2010, a few years after retiring. He was a member of the Goodrich 548 Masonic Lodge. He also was a member of the AuSable Valley Engine & Tractor Club. He enjoyed antiques and especially antique tractors large and small.

He is survived by his wife of almost 27 years, Carin (Memmer) of Mio; his sister, Keitha

Parsell of Fairview and Flushing; children, Jennifer (Jaymie) Rolfe of Byron Center and Chad (Megan) Anderson of Bellingham, Wash.; stepson, Tommy (Donnie) Atchison of Laurinburg, N.C.; stepdaughter, Heather (Tim) Durso of East Lansing; grandson, Finnegan; step-grandchildren, Natalie, Jessica, Echo, Kellsei, Joshua, Celia, Chiara and Gianni; nieces, Lisa (Dan) Burrows of Davison and Laura Parsell of Flushing; also, longtime friend, Tim (Brenda) Holser of Grand Blanc.

Cremation has taken place, with arrangements by Lashley Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
