Despite cold temperatures, dozens turn out for county egg hunts

Despite less than spring-like weather, several dozen children participated in the county's two Easter egg hunts March 31.

Freedom Worship Center on Mt. Tom Road hosted its egg hunt at 11 a.m. and children collected numbered eggs that converted into several different denominations of money.

The Mio Dummy Club hosted its annual egg hunt at the Oscoda County Park, where a large crowd turned out as snow showers moved into the area and began to blanket the ground with fresh snow.
