Beverly Marie “Bev” (Northrup) MacInnis, 70, passed away Jan. 6, 2018, at her winter residence of Englewood, Fla., due to complications of pneumonia.

Bev was born Feb. 13, 1947, in Detroit to her parents, Arthur and Noreen Northrup. She followed her twin sister into the family, and preceded her brother Tom (Nadine). She graduated from Detroit Rosary High School in 1965. Bev married John A. MacInnis in 1970. The MacInnises moved to Canton, where she proudly raised three children, Shawn (Mindy), Mark and Katie, and worked for an automotive company. The family enjoyed spending summers in McKinley, where Bev was often found relaxing at her favorite spot near the Au Sable River. Bev retired in 2007, and she and John were able to spend more time at their winter home. She then enjoyed spending her summers in Michigan and winters in Florida. She was an active member at the Holiday Estates I & II clubhouse in Englewood, Fla., where she enjoyed volunteering for events and meeting members, and could always be counted on to bring a pot of chili.

She is the beloved wife of John; loving mother of Shawn (Mindy), Mark and Katie; proud grandmother of Lilly and Keyton; dear twin sister of Sister Barbara Northrup, IHM; sister of Thomas (Nadine); sister-in-law of Leo and Barbara MacInnis; and aunt of Kenny.

Memorial services will be held in Englewood, Fla., Jan. 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Holiday Estates I & II Clubhouse, 1445 Seagull Drive, and summer 2018 in Pinckney.
